Our congregation supports Lutheran World Relief, which conducts missions worldwide.

Locally, the church hosts an annual Vacation Bible School for school-age children, and assists our neighborhood school, Evergreen Elementary, with items such as backpacks and school supplies. In 2025, VBS occurred in August.

The quilting and prayer shawl ministry meets monthly in the Fellowship Hall.

We also collect goods and funds for local charitable and nonprofit organizations such as the Alliance Against Family Violence and the homeless shelter.

Each fall, a blessing of the animals is held in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi's love for all creatures. In 2026, the blessing will occur on Sun., Oct. 4, after Sunday service in the lawn area outside the sanctuary. In addition to their family pets, children are encouraged to bring a favorite stuffed animal.
