Blessing of the Animals

Each fall, a blessing of the animals is held in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi's love for all creatures. In 2026, the blessing will occur on Sun., Oct. 4, after Sunday service in the lawn area outside the sanctuary. In addition to their family pets, children are encouraged to bring a favorite stuffed animal.

Each Friday during Lent we pray the Stations of the Cross (Jesus' journey toward being crucified), as depicted in artwork on the walls in our Sanctuary. Come join us at noon for this brief but beautiful service.

Our Quilting and Prayer Shawl ministry meets monthly in the Fellowship Hall. Snacks are provided; bring a sack lunch if you wish. Lots of table space and even a knitting machine are available for those who are skilled in the needle arts or who would like to learn. Our creations go to Lutheran World Relief (quilts) and those in need of a shawl to comfort them during illness or grief.
