Our congregation supports Lutheran World Relief, which conducts missions worldwide.

Locally, the church hosts an annual Vacation Bible School for school-age children, and assists our neighborhood school, Evergreen Elementary, with items such as backpacks and school supplies.

The quilting and prayer shawl ministry meets monthly in the Fellowship Hall. Quilts are donated to Lutheran World Relief, which distributes them to be used for warm bedding, or as a shield against the cold and rain. Prayer shawls are distributed to Redeemer’s members and friends to comfort them in times of illness or grief.

We also collect goods and funds for local charitable and nonprofit organizations such as the Alliance Against Family Violence and the homeless shelter.

Each fall, Pastor conducts a blessing of animals in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures.

Our mission: The church is a people created by God in Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, called and sent to bear witness to God’s creative, redeeming, and sanctifying activity in the world.
